And before you start with the Bon Jovi jokes, there s a very good reason for using the name. It actually means a small private orchestra for a Prince or Church. Now, there s nothing regal or at all biblical about the music, but the fans are treating it like the second coming.
Rooted in an over-driven late 60 s, early 70 s rock vibe, the music draws several influences to create a fresh new sound. There s hints of hip hop beats, 80 s synth textures, dark emotive lyrics, trashy funk bass lines and a voice that nods to some great singers from the past, but really it s one of a kind. It s the hybrid of these sounds that make the offering unique and the unbridled energy on stage that fans come to see.
We're suitable for most audiences, young and old. We hark back to the old sounds, but with a contemporary twist. We've got one main vocalist and the guitarist does back ups. We love to play festivals but are equally equipped to play corporate events, pubs/clubs and even weddings. We're up in Lincoln round August this year to play a Wedding.
There are some notable accolades worth mentioning. These include making the Top 11 of the O2 Undiscovered competition in 2006. The music has also been featured on online radio networks including Kerrang! SkinFM, LastFM, slicethepie.com and TripleJ FM Australia.
