First forming almost 7 years ago in 2002, the after a number of line up changes the final (and indeed original) line up of Chris Bradley, James Wood, Stuart Latham and Darren Dickson are finally back together!
Deciding to give the band a real go this time; the band finished their album This Statement Is False that they'd previously been working on from 2006 at Digital Garden Studios, signed up with Naz Promotions to do PR for their debut single Cherryade/Credibility and jumped in at the deep end self financing and self releasing it on their record label Scattered Records in May 2009 (available on itunes). Since then the band has travelled the UK on several mini tours, supported their heroes Hundred Reasons, supported rising stars Random Hand, Johnny Foreigner, Don Broco, Mike TV and many others & released a single to good response from the media, most notably receiving play from Steve Lamacq & a favourable review and feature in Big Cheese Magazine.
Over the last 2 months CGA have also been recording a 3 track EP with Animal Farm Records in London for release in early 2010.
Cut Glass Accent have toured up and down the UK playing notable venues far and wide from Swindon's Area 51 to Glasgow's 13th Note as well as famous venues such as York's Stone Roses Bar, Edinburgh's Whistlebinkies, Leicester's The Shed as well as many gigs both as support and most recently headliner (to an almost sell out crowd) at Newcastle's O2 Academy 2 (previously Carling Academy) amongst many others.
The band have recently released their much anticipated follow up to 2005 debut album Fractures, This Statement is False in Autumn 2009 with a tour in support of the album. For booking enquiries please e-mail email@example.com.
