Dead Cat Bounce play a handclapping, footstomping mix of tunes from Celtic Rock - think Saw Doctors - to gentle and lilting ballads - think Mary Black and Christy Moore - with a hint of the upbeat side of Richard Thompson.
The band, formed in December 2009 and, comprising over one hundred and twenty years collective experience, are hard to categorise such is the diversity of the music they perform. Firstly, unashamedly rockin', then eastern influenced melodic instrumentals and some notable self penned stuff make up a typical Dead Cat Bounce performance using electro acoustic guitars, bass, fiddle, mandolin, bouzouki and a conversation-inducing range of percussion from full electric kit to djembe, bodhran and darbuka.
Target audients range from 18 to 80 where a good time will be had be all.
The band, a friendly bunch, are currently recording their first album (spring 2010) and a website is under construction at www.deadcatbounce.me.uk as well as www.myspace.com/deadcatbounceband.
