The Husky Tones vibrant electric blues crosses a wide range of emotions, from raucous dance music that celebrates pleasure and success to songs of lament, injustice, lost loves and longing for a better life. Their unique sound begins with the singing drummer Victoria Bourne whose soulful, passionate voice and relentless drumming grooves drive the performances and provide the platform for some blistering blues guitar work from Chris Harper. They are joined on different gigs by Yann Deplechin on blues piano and Matt Richards on bass guitar.

Victoria Bourne was the only white girl in her year at school and regularly sang gospel music at her local Baptist church. Her voice expresses the pure raw emotion of the blues variously described as spellbinding', 'haunting', 'a voice to die for,' 'stunning and impossible to ignore or forget .
