After reuniting and coming together for a one off gig for Birmingham St Patricks Festival 2013, receiving such tremandous response and feedback Lampa decided to stick with it for the craic and have been flat out since. The bedrock and core of the Lampa sound lies firmly within Irish Traditional Music yet with a fusion of Irish and Contemporary song, presenting a unique, powerful and fresh sound, never being afraid to incorporate other genres and themes into their infectious and refreshing performances. Over the past twelve monthts, the band have been in much demand across the city and become renowned for their high energy presense and distinct enjoyment.

The band consists of a collaboration of siblings, cousins and friendships which have built up over many years. The band took off on a high, back in March 2013, performing to a highly fuelled crowd of 1,400 for their first official debut gig in the HMV Institute, Birmingham on St Patrick's Day, since then it's been all systems go. Lampa have since travelled to London to perform at the prestiegious Paddy Fun Run as part of the huge charity event through the IYF (Irish Youth Foundation) and have performed in many venues in and around Birmingham such as Town Hall Birmingham as support to Lunasa, sold out a Christmas concert in Scanlons, as well as taking to the stage in venues such as
The Irish Centre Birmingham, Vaughan's, The Auditorium at South & City College, The Old Crown, Hennessey's and also The Botanical Gardens.
