Started in 1985 as part of the Sheffield Music Services, LDO is a group of amateur/ pro musicians who have been performing to audiences and at dances alike for nearly 30 years! With a vast catalogue of big band charts from the 1920s right up to the present day, we are able to deliver a strong, enjoyable and entertaining programme for any occassion.

Indeed the past 30 years has seen the band perform at; weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, dinner dances, barn dances, cycle races, theme parks, band stands and many more besides. We have also performed at the Sheffield City Hall on numerous occassions and other concert halls throughout the UK and Europe.

LDO are available to perform at any event, work alongside singers and tailor any programme specifically for your requirements. Our musical director is also extremely talented and can arrange music for you if we do not currently hold it in our repertoire.
