Leeds Samba

Founded in 2016, Leeds Samba is a brand-new UK-Brazilian carnival band and community organisation in the tradition of Brazil's 'Escolas de Samba.'

Teaching, composing and performing authentic, modern samba de enredo and batucada, our Mestre de Bateria Gez is one of the UK's most experienced samba directors with over 20 years experience in bands as diverse as the London School of Samba and Brighton Carnival Collective.

Leeds Samba's Rainha da Bateria is Tali Moreno, dancer and follower of Sao paulo's Camisa Verde e Branco and Vai-Vai samba schools.
