THE STORY OF NUKEATEEN
Formed in Wellingborough England Circa 1995 by two Brothers Taz Cebula (Vocals, Guitar) & John Cebula (Bass, Vocals) and Nick Iliffe Nukeateen were a Grunge, Post Punk, Rock band playing all the local pubs and hangouts in the area, famous for writing songs about everyday experiences.
On the 9th January 1999 Nukeateen played their farewell gig (The 9.1.99 gig) to a full house at the Oakley Arms Rushden, Northants, England.
Ten Years on they're back together to record the songs that were popular live, but never made it to the studio, around 48 songs in total, the songs will be made into 4 new albums, Their reason for doing this is for their own record and of course for you lovely people to hear!
With Taz living in Australia and Nick & John in England its a major task recording when living so far apart, only Nukeateen could think up such an idea! but with technology on their side Nick & John are recording The Drums, Bass, Backing Vocals etc at Nick's home Studio 531 then sending it over to Taz to record Vocals & Guitars in a Studio in Melbourne.
The first album "Reginald's Revenge" is due for release in early 2010 and there will be live gigs in August 2010 in England.
Enjoy, and spread the word
A band who had to split up but didn't want to, is back!
