Lead singer Shane Fielding started the band back in 2011 and carried on the band, with shane the only original member he carried on performing in The Aspekt and broke new lenghts of music being voted the most underrated hardcore band of 2014 by music magazine Rock Sound after releasing Our Story So Far back in 2014.

In November of 2014 The Aspekt announce that they are breaking from playing live to spend time working on producing a new album, A year out.
