Formed in 2008, Phil Caffrey and Ian Cleverdon have a rich musical heritage covering a variety of styles from pop/rock to working with schools and youth groups in a musical field.
The Huers play a mix of their own material and cover versions, including songs by Show Of Hands, Steve Earle, Crowded House and Colin Hay (ex Men At Work). Both take lead vocals depending on the song and specialise in rich harmonies. They also play a wide variety of instruments - there are usually 7 different strtinged instruments on stage between the two of them (including guitars, cello mandolins, mandolin, tenor guitar and cuatro).
They are most suited to a performance / folk-style setting (e.g. Folk festival, local theatre). They are perfect for supporting established touring artists on the North West England leg of their tour. Own PA and sound engineer can be made available. All songs are performed live with no backing tracks involved.
Their debut album is being released in May 2010, and several live radio appearances are booked to promote it.
