The Machines are a classic UK Punk, Rock 'n' Roll band formed by Guitarist & Vocalist Nick Paul in 1977 in the amphetamine rush of Punk, split in '78 and then regenerated in 2006 with Bassist Stephen 'Tash' Reddihough & Drummer Steve Machine.

The band all grew up listening to The New York Dolls and The Stooges and find this aesthetic still informs their sound. They add their own touch to it and then create the unique Machines sound. The band love the short, sharp shock blitzkreig of The Ramones and this too feeds into the Machines mix, helping to create a powerful live alchemy. An album is planned in 2010 containing all the recorded Machines material so far and will hopefully be released later in the year.
